“Hey folks, its time to introduce the band! Over the last six months we have been woodshedding and jamming like crazy as we have started Willow Street Bluegrass Band. For now, we've got Jay on guitar, Gabby on mandolin, and Amadeus on banjo. We love to play traditional bluegrass standards and tunes, and other corners of folk, country, and Dead-inspired music. We are looking forward to a lot of great events this summer!”

CAFE Zoë, 1929 Menalto Ave., Menlo Park, CA 94025; 650-322-1926 • cafezoehub.com/
“From the beginning, Café Zoë has always sought to be an “extension of your living room,” from the cozy environment and comfy chairs to the friendly, engaging baristas. We’re not your average modern hipster coffee shop. There is a lot of artwork and posters on the walls, eclectic jewelry on display from local artists, and a generally “at home” kind of vibe. We have always kept our prices low with quality and quantity high.”

The "Hop Jam" is an invitational event arranged by jambot.org, hosted on Wednesday evenings at Hop Dogma Brewing Company in Half Moon Bay, California. You never know who will be in the "band," or what songs they'll choose to play!

The lineup for September 18th, 2024 is:

Banjo: Dan Mazer (BanjerDan)

Joe Craven’s JAMboree Camp!
I’m delighted and excited to announce that I’ll be one of the teachers/jam session facilitators once again at Joe Craven’s JAMboree 2024!
“JAMboree 2024 is a 4-day Music JAM campout at Northern California’s premiere “Beer Farm” just outside of the town of Dixon. Folks – from youth to seniors – bring their acoustic string instruments such as guitar, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, fiddle, Dobro, and acoustic bass, accordion, harmonica, hand percussion and our voices! Other wind instruments (flutes, clarinets, trumpets (w/ mutes), melodicas, etc,…), marimbas, are welcome, too!
“A wide variety of workshops will be held each day. Sessions include instruction on the art of jamming & playing well with others, in addition to songwriting, singing, ukulele, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, accordion, harmonica, and percussion. Mornings will include coffee, tea, and an opt-in potluck breakfast, a morning stretch & vocal wake-up. Afternoons will include more workshops and facilitated jams in different styles. Spontaneous workshops are encouraged. The evening social dinner break will include a different activity each night followed by more jamming by the fire pit and/or any of the campsites spread out in the orchard and around the farm.”
“Ruhstaller is a working farm that grows their own hops, then brews, and pours a wide variety of beers…all on their 47-acre spread. Free-range sheep, chickens, live roots, folk & world music, and dogs with their well-behaved humans, are all welcome!”

“Join us at Hotel Utah for Balanced Breakfast's monthly artist-in-the-round event featuring drinks, bar food, and a mix of today's hottest music performed by today's best up-and-coming musicians. Performing artists have come from the Bay and afar for your viewing pleasure. Over the three-hour event, you will enjoy original music from 9 indie musicians.”
ABOUT ARTIST IN THE ROUND
"In The Round" is when a group of musicians take turns singing their songs. One artist sings a song and then the next sings and so on. Each performing artist will have the opportunity to do 3 songs. As there are always 3 artists on stage at the same time, sometimes others in the group will add some instrumental flavor and or harmonious vocals. Over the course of the evening, there will be 3 rounds and attendees will discover 9 artists each evening.
Balanced Breakfast is a multi-city meetup of musicians, industry professionals, and enthusiasts that was founded in San Francisco in 2013. In addition to our music industry meetups, we also connect people through concerts, festivals, summits, and offer a variety of digital marketing services.
